ITC is a patented electronic, computerised method of tracking and controlling the use of hand tools.

It can offer "real time" information to a supervisor on various data such as who accessed a tool box, at what time, what they took or replaced and when the tool box was closed.

It is the benchmark system for the Industry and is a must for companies who cannot afford the risk of human error when managing the use of hand tools.

How does it work?

The tool cabinet is accessed via swipe card, pin number and other available options, therefore ITC can report who opened the box at what time. The cabinet automatically locks after a pre-set time.

Each hand tool has a precision cut "Smart Cavity" in to which it fits. The Smart Cavity detects the presence or absence of the tool.

Cycle count of tool usage
ITC will report on the total number of times each tool is used.

ITC will report on the total amount of time that a tool is absent from the tool cabinet. Useful information for tools requiring regular calibration.

ITC will report on tools removed from the tool cabinet for calibration

Tool damaged
ITC will report on tools removed from the tool cabinet that are damaged, awaiting replacement or to be repaired.

Tool lost
ITC will report on tools that are lost.

Tool allocation for specific job. PIN code sensitive
ITC can issue tools on a process specific basis. If an operative has a specific task to do, the tools required to carry out that job can be pre-specified onto the system. Using his PIN code to access the tool cabinet, we can ensure that only the tools required for that job are removed. Anything other than the tools issued to that job that are taken will be notified to the supervisor immediately, in real time.

Remote reporting
The tool cabinet can be hard wired into a network or alternatively operated remotely using advanced data communications systems.

Keypad Entry

Our unique ITC system is available in our bespoke cabinet with various entry options.

Using the KEYPAD and PIN option does away with the problem of lost keys and means that PIN can be changed on a frequent basis, important when considering staff turnover and sub contractors
